Everyone Likes the Helenium

This is a Thin-Waisted Wasp, a solitary insect with a parasitic lifestyle, laying its eggs on the larvae of other insects.  Totally harmless to humans though.  There won't be much pollen gathering today has we will have some significant rain which we desperately need.  Rainy through Thursday so everything will get a good drink of water.  Cool temperatures too.  It is a good day to work on my final studio project before surgery.  I have no idea when I will be able to get back in there after I get home but I have some sewing projects to do until them.  Have to keep the fingers busy!
