Japanese Dragon

This is a Japanese Bronze Bowl from the 19th century, part of the Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse collection.

The Mansionhouse is not ‘open’ this weekend as the estate is being used as a film set for some scenes in the next Karen Pirie  film by Val McDermid.

Apparently the estate is being patrolled to ensure no one interferes with the production. Some of the volunteers will be at the various entrances to explain why the estate is closed.

The other volunteers including Pat and I are having a ‘holiday’ from volunteering. Something to do with our ‘advancing years’?
