90 not out

I had to work for a few hours this morning... the less said about that, the better!

I then did a quick change into a frock and some bling and Ed, Renee and I braced ourselves for the train journey up to London - hottest day of the year so far- tricky trying to keep cool and stay glam looking.

We had the honour of being invited to Bernard's 90th Birthday celebration at the Synagogue in Rutland Gate. We were made very welcome by one and all. We were there for the Kiddush (blessing of bread and wine). It felt very special.
The food and wine were exquisite.

This shot isn't very good but every time I got into a good position, someone walked in front of the camera. I like the look on Benard's face. I think he was alarmed at the thought of having to blow out all those candles! His son, Max, came to the rescue and huffed them out.

A splendid afternoon. Not so much fun travelling back home on public transport: boiling, no breeze and hoardes of people: Some of whom had forgotten to put their deodorant on this morning... tut, tut - that is for you-
'Man on train whose armpit was stuck in my face from East Croydon to Victoria'!

I may have got a teeny bit behind with comments today, but will catch up.

Hope you have all enjoyed the sun today.
