A tiny part of my massive hydrangea head. For some reason my hydrangeas all have really large heads but very little in the way of foliage. This makes them fairly unstable so I have been round the garden today and staked and tied them up.
Also spent time in the field behind our house cutting back the hawthorn/brambles/nettles which were encroaching our garden. This involved stepping over the electric fence. I did get a few 'shocks' but I was pleasantly surprised at how mild they were. I also kept looking over my shoulder to check that the cows hadn't been let into the field! I love opening the gate and talking to them but I not sure I would trust them without the safety of the electric fence.
