Giant Squid

OK it's just a pine tree but it does look a little bit like a giant squid.

Just finished watching BBC2 programme natural world special called Giant Squid: Filming the impossible.

An incredible sight and the fact that it appeared golden made me look up at the golden sun light on the tree and make the link for a photo

The main scientist had been looking to photograph and find evidence for 40 years finally in a submersible at around 800 metres depth his plan worked and a Giant Squid came out of the dark to take the bait. After all that wait he got to watch the squid for little more than 20 minutes before they had to prevent themselves falling deeper and deeper and as they slowed the descent the squid moved off and left its free meal.
