evening walk

Well, it started off as an afternoon walk but what with the mud, and stopping to look at the view, and lots to catch up on, it was evening by the time we got back. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep.
Busy day, but all went according to plan. Early click&collect (I could have actually shopped but I knew I'd forget half the list), plus dropped off the dry cleaning. Back to gather up M and drive him to eye appointment; while he was there I explored Hassocks. It didn't take long. Mediocre coffee, arrived and M walked out of eye thing, successful procedure and very happy. Back home via fishmonger, had lunch, visitors arrived, gave them lunch, caught up on some of the longer stories. They're the kind of people that when you say ' It's a long story' they say 'Oh good!' and sit back in anticipation. Long walk with visitors, then M cooked the fish and we all had ever so slightly too much to drink.
