Blueberry

Last year blackbirds and starlings raided the blueberry dwarf shrub/bush which lives in a pot on the patio.

This year I’m ahead of their game by covering the plant with a net. I hope to have sufficient ripe fruit for breakfast in early August. It is usually generous, and gives a good few portions.

It was a birthday gift from a kind neighbour about ten years ago.
