Rower

t was a lovely calm day so we got the rowing boat out and went fishing.

We caught quite a lot of pollack and coley, but returned most of it just keeping a couple of big pollack.  The fillets from each one weighed over 750g!

We had one grilled for lunch, which was OK.  For dinner we baked the other with butter which was exquisite - we agreed that in future any pollack we catch is getting that treatment!

In the afternoon we hung out at the beach.  CyclopsJnr dug sandcastles, and had a go at rowing on his own (with a safety rope on the dinghy just in case).

We enjoyed watching two shepherds with three dogs herd sheep over towards civilisation - presumably for shearing.

We had a lovely game of Quirkle while dinner cooked, and more toasted marshmallows afterwards.
