Anlochan Coastal Path

We had a fairly quiet day.  We flew a new kite CyclopsJnr got for his birthday in the morning, then after lunch went for a walk on the Anlochan Coastal Path.

We enjoyed seeing the loch filled with reeds, old crofts, the remains of a prehistoric (Iron Age) broch.  We saw a tour boat from Ullapool out in the Summer Isles and through binoculars we could see dolphins in the water around it.  Later we spotted porpoises in Achiltibuie bay, and explored the remnants of a firing range once used to train soldiers.

We had a quick go fishing in the boat before dinner, but the wind was picking up so it was a little bumpy, and we didn't catch anything.

We had Rhubarb and Strawberry pie with cream for dessert - which was delicious.
