Muggy
I had to check that the word “muggy” was real, and the dictionary confirmed that it meant ‘hot and humid’. I’m unconvinced it’s been that hot today, but there’s been a heaviness in the air. Certainly, there was limited sun. The sky above Waterloo station looked like the weather, unsure if it should be clear, cloudy or grey.
My Tai Chi class took place outside in the school playground. We managed to complete the first full hour before the drizzle, and eventually, we went inside for the final 15 minutes. After I had missed almost a complete term due to the pain in my shoulder, I am glad I returned. Every now and then, I must stop pushing my left arm, but I am hoping the exercise is helpful and not harmful. There are some moves that my arm will not do, but I persevere.
Last night, after we returned home, PY picked a random date in September and checked prices for various Paralympic events. Surprisingly, it was affordable, with a day pass from just €25. We were convinced the corresponding Eurostar would be beyond reasonable, but although it is by no means at the level of their £35 special offers, the prices were not outrageous. We ended up booking it, so we can say we are off to see Paris 2024. I forgot to book the day off during working hours, and so did it when I returned from class.
