A Day At A Time.

Hay Fever

We have had a very hot and vexing journey to Surrey. The further south we came, the hotter it became.

Get used to it, I told His Nibs. Where we're going it will be even hotter.

Actually he was as good as gold, curled up in his basket on a new bed. Comfy and asleep for most of the trip.

As we neared the dreaded M25, often referred to as the only car park visible from space, the signs said there was a 30 mile queue of traffic from junction 20 to junction 11!

So I told Sally SatNav to take evasive manoeuvres and we got clogged up on the North Circular instead!

With the car overheating, and the passengers likewise, we eventually made it into Hammersmith, where we crossed the river, found the A3, and progress was much better.

So the entire journey was about eight hours, but we have arrived! The remaining legs in our trip home are much shorter.

So a well-deserved play on the old Croydon airfield was called for.

But I need a shower and then some food and a good sleep before we cross the Channel tomorrow lunch time.

Have a sweltering weekend.
