Rainbow yarn

During my recent visit to see my granddaughters there was a lot of rainbow drawing going on. So I asked them if they would like me to knit them rainbow cardigans.
Today I was in town for an appointment with the physio so I popped into the wool shop, had a lovely chat with the lady owner and bought the pattern and yarn to make a start.
I didn't get any physio as Amy wants the GP to check out my neck before she sends me for any x-rays or starts anything else. I'm going back on Friday.
After lunch I had a phone call from a paramedic who was with mum saying she'd had an "episode" while putting something away in the cupboard. She hadn't fallen and managed  to get herself to a chair. The paramedic said she may have had a mini stroke. They took her off to hospital to get checked out fully. She was still in A& E at 7.30pm but they were going to admit her and do a scan of her back tomorrow. I spoke to the doctor who had been assessing mum but they were still waiting for results of tests they had already done. I got to speak to mum briefly but it was so noisy in the department that she couldn't hear properly. Hopefully I'll be able to speak to her in the morning on the ward which should be quieter.
A bit of a down day but life is full of ups and downs. On the "up" side I really enjoyed the Sewing Bee final. It was a worthy winner.
