Oran Mor

A trip to the west to pick up our daughter in law after a conference dinner. It was held at Oran Mor (the spire of which is illuminated).

The building is situated close to Grosvenor Terrace and the hotel there. I recall being the Private Secretary to the Minister of State at its re-opening following its refurbishment in the early 1980s. It was some do!

The road closure of the M8 eastbound through Glasgow required a detour. That and the late running of the event meant a return home after midnight. A long but good day.
