Looking derelict

Elbows has gone away to Bournemouth for the week.

I had some routine things planned and a treat thing planned.

Dog walk - this old cafe in the park is suddenly looking beyond repair as its roof seems to be caving in. It’s such a big shame. Hundreds of memories with the kids as babies, toddlers, small and big children, end of team school picnics, coffees and ice creams. I rarely sat up there or in there, but often called in to get something.

Went to visit a friend this afternoon. A last minute thing as she was having a wobble. Sometimes I want to shout from a roof top (a sturdy one mind!) that ‘middle-aged’ women need each other more than at any other time; as families, friendships, bodies, relationships, emotions … all shift and change.

The treat was a swim and pizza at Quay Swim near Camberley. Just Emcoops and her girl and I went. Lake was luscious.
Pizza was luscious.
