My days ...My life

Evening stroll and a special Blipmeet !

I forgot to suggest we took a photo when Wanderers13 her husband J and I met for lunch in town. I so enjoyed meeting them again and getting to know them both a bit more. We shared a nice tapas meal together in Cafe Andaluz .

It was a really lovely and I am very glad to know them. We visited their home when we were staying with Treshnish on Mull 7 years ago and had hoped to have time with them here in our home ‐but it wasn't possible to plan this time.
I enjoyed a short stop to listen to a young boy on his own playing the bagpipes - he was very good and I admired the courage and skill he clearly has at quite a young age . No idea what age he might have been, but he looked not much older than my grandson- mid teens maybe ? Most young people look about 12 to me these days :)
The only slight frustration in this whole day was that West End carparking is impossible these days - the barrier at Kelvinbridge Subway carpark was stuck closed with lots of spaces that noone could use and a large queue had formed that it was difficult to escape from but eventually I found a meter close by ( £1.40 for 15 minutes ! ) , jumped on the subway and was in town as arranged at almost the right time. Realising that my days of parking somewhere near Roots and Fruits to do our weekly fruit veg and cheese shopping having a wander followed by coffee may be over until I'm happy carrying shopping . Blue train to Hyndland and visiting Waterstones for a browse and coffee may be an alternative West End plan. :)

Special moments today :
Meeting my lovely friend C at her Kirklee home in the morning.
Sharing time nice food and stories with J and J at cafe andaluz .
A walk round the garden in the evening for J to show me what he had done with the new bed he had dug at the bottom of the garden beside the swing. So grateful for his persistent effort this summer!
And the subject my blip - the roof of the cottage peeping above the ripening barley field.
