small skipper
I managed to capture this little one when out on a butterfly photoshoot on Daneway Bank near Sapperton.
Firstly, they are hard to spot among the long grasses, and then getting them to rest long enough, in order to get near them, is another challenge.
It took a lot of tries and much patience but am happy with the result.
I also managed to capture a ringlet, meadow brown and yet another marbled white. (see extras) So, all in all, it was a much more fruitful butterfly day than on previous visits.
