Our last full day in London. Our hotel was just across the road from Smithfield Market, which my mother-in-law used to walk through on her way to work.
We started with a walk around Hoxton and Shoreditch. I love looking at the architecture and also looking for abandoned objects.
Ian, a former neighbour of ours has a friend who works at the London Stadium, so when Ian found out that Mr W is a West Ham fan, he organised 2 tour tickets for the stadium. It was built for the 2012 Olympics and there are reminders of that throughout the building. The stadium is still used for athletics and other sports - it had just hosted a baseball match so we couldn't go down to the side of the pitch as it's being readied for the start of the football season. It was still a good tour though.
