Bus Pass Walk

Backblip for Tuesday 23/7.  2 buses caught today.  Bus to Gilstead and a walk along the pathway below the crags, then across into the Prince of Wales park.  The poster of this little chap was on the gate as we left.  I have bats around my garden at night and although I respect them I don't want to be near them!  So not an event I will be wanting to attend - although I couldn't anyway as we are going to a concert in Leeds that night :-) We then walked down to the canal, admiring the very tidy allotments on the way, and had our lunch at the Five Rise Cafe. It was very warm so we then walked back along the towpath with some rather large and very nice ice creams!  A chap stopped us to show us where Peregrine Falcons are nesting right at the top of the Damart chimney! Back into town and not long to wait for the bus home.
