View from the cab....

First job this morning was a 4 quad bike rodeo to bring in the first batch of cows and calves to wean them.
We shut the cows in one shed, the calves in another, and let them get used to the idea.
A noisy few days and nights ahead .
Next job was for wee brother to go and row up the end rigs of the field I mowed on Tuesday. Kev scattered it yesterday to help it wilt a bit.
I baled it up then set about hauling bales down to the steading where wee brother wrapped them in stretch plastic. This keeps the air out and allows the bale to turn into silage . In an ideal summer we would try and get the grass dry enough to make hay,but that ain't going to happen this summer.
We had them done by 4 pm,so he went back to the field and rowed up some more for me to bale and haul.
Had them finished by 7 pm so headed off down the road to feed heifers. A lovely sunny evening, hopefully will get the rest of the field baled tomorrow.
9.30 pm and it's chucking it down....
Ho hum.
