Chiltern Railways at Haddenham and Thame Parkway

In 1906 the Great Western (GWR) and Great Central (GCR) opened a joint mainline as an alternative for the GCR to the line shared with the Metropolitan, and the GWR a direct mainline route to Birmingham.

There used to be station separately at Haddenham and Thame which were closed in 1963 during the Beeching cuts and the line singled.

In 1987 a new "Parkway" station was opened. Chiltern Railways redoubled the line in 1998 and lengthened the platforms.

Traffic is now growing healthily.
