Swans again

The buildings opposite are called Sheriff Bank, fairly recently built.

A fine bright day which gradually accumulated more cloud until an extremely heavy short evening shower.  Fetched evening food offerings from Broughton Market. Out later to walk down the Water of Leith; the nine cygnets swan family were out. One adult was on the raft at Coalie Park, sorting out bits of grass; the other and all the cygnets were a little further downriver.

A pleasant evening conversation with wine and cheese with our immediate neighbours in the building; we know them well enough to talk about American politics. We enjoyed looking at their puffin pictures from Mull. The rain arrived just after we'd got back upstairs.
