Breakfast for...
....two...one actually.
Managed to get one dog out before the heat really kicked in. Cedar goes first as he only has two gears...stationary and full pelt. Drake is slightly more sensible and he got to explore the field by the motorway....which nearly made it to Blip today but Cedar stole the show again.
Was thinking last night about doing the park run but I chickened out because of the heat and the rush to get the boys out before setting off. I did however go running from home instead. I seem to have been accompanied by annoying american women this week....if they aren't telling me about my 'glutes' and 'hammies' they are telling me how far I've been...how far I have to go....sometimes I don't really need to know that information and I just want to listen to a tune or two. In fact my 'glutes' and 'hammies' are quite capable of conveying that information in their own special way.
Eventually I did manage to get the chance to sit down and have my breakfast....as usual though I am never alone. He never takes, just rests his chin and sings a bit. He didn't get any. I am mean. My needs were greater.
Warm night tonight. Will be even warmer with the burn patch on my back....always hard to reach on your own...or perhaps I just sweated it off....nice image...
Visit to William with one of those quite noisy presents that parents hate you for. he was two today, not sure where the time goes or indeed what they are feeding him. I did buy him a book to even out the noisy truck.....he's very into tractors and diggers and all heavy machinery in fact. It's a shame that in this day and age kids don't get into books...those of the paper variety...you can't have a puppet in a kindle! I might turn into the boring Auntie that always go you a book token as a kid.....time to get our own back..
'Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him'.
