P's notebook
I listened this morning to a fascinating podcast, an interview with the author of a book that traces the history and use of notebooks. (Roland Allen, The notebook: a history of thinking on paper. Profile Books.)
For the last three months my notebook has been with me whenever we were with P. There were so many things to record: things she wanted done, details for the family history, ideas for her memoirs, instructions for her funeral, and, always, care for those she was leaving.
