In the evening I went to see a book talk at Westward Books. The authors of Spycraft, Nadine Akkerman and Pete Langman talked about the early spies and the sort of things they did to gain an advantage and information. They looked at the tricks and tools of the spy trade between Elizabethan times and the Restoration. An interesting talk about deception, diversion, invisible ink etc. and if all else failed, there was always assassination. To make it stand out, the book glows in the dark! An entertaining and interesting talk.
