Clarity

When we arrived in Kendal and the chauffeur parked the car (and then set off for the Gym), I vaguely noticed that the Rowan had berries. When I came out 50 minutes later, their colour had changed and I could see each berry.

Then I realised just how bad my blurred vision has been for the last few weeks. I knew I was finding it difficult to see into the distance, to focus close up, even to balance. I knew it was making me annoyed, miserable.

Then, one laser shot later, and . . . I’m back to just how wonderful it was when I first had the cataract surgery last year, how bright everything is, how clear.

We went to Booths for breakfast - I had taken the first appointment 8.20am (we set off at 7.20am!) then came home. Gordon went on a Wildlife Trust walk at Kirkby Stephen - I took out all the sewing I did yesterday and redid it properly!

A big problem is that I can now see dust, which wasn’t there yesterday . . .
