Th'Angel o't' North

... as seen from the A1(M) as we headed yet further north! We left home at 8.00a.m. which gave us the afternoon to enjoy discovering a coastal town we'd never visited before: Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. In Northumberland, It's the most wonderful place - do hope you'll look at my Extras.

We're overnighting at a Premier Inn not too far away and handy for tomorrow - the main reason for our long journey - when we visit a schoolfriend of mine and her husband who will be celebrating their golden wedding anniversary!

Meanwhile, thanks for all the excellent guesses as to the subject of my yesterblipped abstract. You will realise that some of you came close when I tell you it was simply grated cheese! I tweaked the colour, and that was it. ;-)
