What a surprise! You weren’t there yesterday, yet here you are today! Meet the black and yellow argiope, otherwise known as a garden spider. No worries, it’s harmless, but it will bite if it’s threatened, much like a bee sting. Unfortunately the web is attached to one of the chairs on the deck, so a gentle relocation is necessary. Perhaps tomorrow • Mowed and raked grass, then deadheaded. All done in time to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony. It’s on now - magnificent and magical!
