Flower beds at St George de Didonne
By 9am we were parked at the beach, and had unloaded folding chairs, a beach umbrella, towels, mats and a blanket, as well as snacks, sandwiches, coffee and water, and had walked into town.
We left the rest of the family digging in the sand, and bought a dozen croissants, seven chocolatines, and four pains au raisin which just about kept them all going until we got home for lunch at 1pm!
The afternoon was spent swimming as by then the temperature was up to 30 degrees, and we had a bbq tonight.
One half of the family leave tomorrow, back to Belfast and Surrey, and we’ll miss them.
