Edinburgh Castle and Tattoo Grandstand

A cloudy day, so the alternate weather pattern continues. A breezy day with light showers expected. So lightweight waterproofs on at lunchtime as the wind chill is also a factor. Very dark, so nothing really to photograph. even flowers looked pretty drab.

So after work was the only opportunity to get a relatively detailed photograph. On the way out there was a bit of sunlight on a hill in Fife. By the time we got to the viewing point, the sun had gone. At least the rain held off. The best photo taken was of Edinburgh Castle, with the tattoo grandstand to the right of the castle which is now fully assembled. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo starts on Friday 2nd August. Beyond the castle on the north shore of the Firth of Forth is the Pettycur and Sandhills Caravan Park, with, apparently, good views of Edinburgh Castle.
