Simon Stone's version of Medea

Part of the Athens Festival , this Netherlands International theatre's production of Simon Stone's adaptation of the ancient Greek Medea legend was incredibly intense and powerful. It was based on a comparatively recent actual incident where a mother killed herself and her young children in revenge for being spurned by her husband in favour of a younger woman.
