Caught in the Act

It's a quiet & relaxing one our end this weekend.

We slept in this morning, it's such a welcome weekend treat, & then this afternoon we got our hands dirty & finished off our little garden spruce up by rooting out the remaining weeds & re-potting our herbs. Jenny was the real hero & got properly stuck in, as you can tell. It has been scorchio all day today & it was a real roaster out in the garden. Lovely.

I've been keeping a beady eye on the Ashes as Trent Bridge. With England ahead by over 100 runs & having taken 6 Australian wickets by the close of play today, I'm hopeful the boys will have done enough to have secured a first test of the series.

Jenny bought Star Trek from a widely known online market place in the week & so we rounded of a warm summers day with the film & some ice cold mojitos.
