Shoreline
Had a lovely day today, long lie followed by weaving on my new favourite warp ever! I'm trying my new reed which has more holes to make finer cloth so I'm working with silk and other yummy yarns to recreate another awesome sunrise from April.
I finished this piece yesterday, it's called shoreline and is inspired by seaweed, rocks, gorse and buttercups. I now have finished 6 pieces and could have sold two of them today easy! Carlos's mum was here for tea and fell in love with the orange mohair piece called "Glow" and Marisol was here tonight and loved the grey piece "Dreich". I wouldn't let them have the until the collection is complete but it's nice to know that they are admired.
Carlos made his special pizzas for dinner which was tasty as ever and after his mum and step dad went home it was time for Marisol to come over for a chin wag and some wine. Now it's time for bed with more weaving tomorrow.
