Singledge Prairielands

Beautiful summer weather today… but I wouldn’t be a proper Englishman if I now failed to complain that it was too hot and really rather muggy. It was just a half day for me at work this morning, and I was away by 1 pm. The drive home was quick, and I stopped off along the country lanes for a photograph or two. The blue skies and dramatic clouds were pretty spectacular. I took this shot along Singledge Lane, close to home. The fields of wheat are now golden in the sunshine, just waiting for a horde of former prime ministers to come and trample them.
