Back to the beetles…
for another survey, without success as far as the species being surveyed, but excellent otherwise. The Kites seem to have fledged their young and were busy high up, while the Crossbills , having done the same were lower on the site but high in the tops. They are easier to spot as they like to sit and feed in the tops of the Pines. Heard a rattling or scratching and found these two squirrels chasing round and round the trunk of the tree. This is common behaviour.
