I've got my eye on you...!

Honestly, I wonder how collared doves are still a thing... How can they not be extinct; building such rubbish nests?! Surely more than nine out of ten eggs fall to the ground at the merest breeze through the leaves...?! 

I planted this oak tree about fifteen years ago, from an acorn. Despite the head gardener trying to reduce its growth it's a mighty young tree about six metres tall now. I've never seen a nest in it before. Shame it's such a tatty one!

Lots of pre-build gardening work still to do, so I went for a nice long and sunny walk while Janet got on with it. ;-)
