A meadow grasshopper

A foray over the back this morning and was pleased to see several painted lady butterflies,

I’ve been dipping in and out of the Olympics, watching what takes my fancy.  I didn’t enjoy what I saw of the opening ceremony.

Sad to see Jasper in Canada has had more than a third of its buildings destroyed by fire, but my heart really goes out to all the wildlife that hasn’t managed to escape.  Heartbreaking,
