Stavanger

Arrived in Stavanger after a spectacular drive along the coast from Lindesnes. Stopped by the Jøssing fjord where the Altmark episode happened Feb.16th 1940, when British soldiers boarded the German ship Altmark and rescued English prisoners of war. Two months before the Germans attacked neutral Norway. Had a nice evening in Stavanger. Met an English couple at an restaurant that had come to the city in their sail boat and should sail on to Shetland.
