Shadows on Gudgeon Hole Lane

I love the name!  I used to ask myself why the road was named after a fish until I discovered that a Gudgeon was a piece of equipment used in one of the early coal mines around here.  I'd decided to take myself on a short walk in the morning as I seemed to have no energy for the rest of the day - so only about a mile but the long grass in the field made it harder going - we lost the established foot path on the edge of the field some years ago when the farmer cut down part of the hedge and left in on the original fpath.

My day was good, I didn't need a nap in the afternoon. I managed at least an hour and a half in the garden - maybe two and didn't turn the light out until nearly 11pm.

Yesterday I seemed to get my life back!

So thanks in part to Jackie, who visited last Sunday, and the nurse who was doing the screening tests for a National Health study I stopped taking the statins.  The nurses suggestion was to cut out the statins and stick with the blood-pressure tablets.  Jackie had been telling me about the effect they had on her and why she stopped taking them - sounded very similar to me and my health screening showed my cholesterol level to be 4.1.  So I took the last one last Tuesday.  I'm typing this on Sunday 29th - so I'm hoping to feel equally good today.

I haven't stopped doing photography all together, though it's been a bit snatch and grab. What I haven't been good at is keeping my diary entries going, which is what I've kept telling myself is my main reason for keeping Blipfoto going - I find it so valuable for when I want to look back at events in my life.  I have had another project going on which I'll share in `extra'.  The RPS Contemporary North Group has initiated a book project with the theme Water.  As I'm a member of the steering group and have written some guidance for other members I wanted to put together my 6 pages early - so I've shared it.  I'm happy with the photos but still need to do some editing of the text so that it fits the final images I chose.
