He's home!
Grouted mosaic first thing so had a chance to dry. Secret squirrel meeting with certain members of the club while MrK went to a meeting at Watford. Really pulling things together for Fridays celebration. Took mosaic to our amazing retiring head, who has been so supportive of me.A few tears from us both. Signed a few year6 leavers shirts and sat for a while with Mr White and JF. I can't quite believe it's his final year but at least going forward he won't be in a mainstream school and will be able to mix with others. He said straight away Hello Mrs K.....and put his hand in mine on my lap. I then got a little tickle of my bingo wings...his term of endearment! He's come so far. It made me tearful again as I remembered and relayed the story of playing trains with him at school during covid, and him taking each adult by hand and pulling them into position to push him down the slope on the square on wheels. Today he said 'push me...I wondered if he remembered.
Went to pick FK up from Boreham and he actually hugged me in front of everybody! So pleased to see him. We sat in the garden for lunch and he relayed the weeks activities to me. He's grown up again.
MrK came home and I left them chatting while I went to join end of term drinks at the Riverside Inn for a couple.
