Tales Of Derring-do

What dare I do .....      in a tankini? I went for a swim!
What? Outdoors?   Yes!
Did I have to break ice to enter the water?   No, but it was very cold.
Could I have got whisked away by dangerous undercurrents?  No, the village pool is safe from that point of view.

The last time I went into the village pool was over 35 years ago, when the children were young. I like swimming as a sport but I find it difficult as (i) I don't like getting cold and (ii) I don't like getting wet.

The pool is heated by an air-source heat pump therefore not very warm on days like today. Ah, well, I was very brave and went in and swam a few lengths.
