Milestones x 2

It's our Wedding Anniversary.. our 50th so it's our golden wedding. It really doesn't seem that long. So many don't make it that long so it's quite an achievement and we've been lucky. 

After some deliberation we decided to celebrate by staying in Austwick at The Traddock for a few days. 

 It's a nice place and we first went there for our 40th Anniversary. It's very dog friendly too. Good that Fletch is still fit to be with us 10 years on. As he's approaching 14 you never know how long we'll have with him.

We went for a lovely walk through Skipton Woods , then strolled to The Cake 'ole for coffee and cake ( Fletch had his 'packed lunch' that I brought with us)

We had another lovely meal this evening, deciding against the 10 course 'tasting menu'. The menu looked quite good but we didn't want to be sitting at the table for nearly 3 hours.  (small courses with long gaps in between ).
We made the right decision because the couples sat in the restaurant having the taster menu before we went in were still there after we'd finished and taken Fletch for a walk ( still daylight) and back to the the hotel. 

A nice day. I wonder if we'll be lucky enough to make it to our 60th ?

And it appears I've reached  a Blip.milestone today!. Even better !
