Will it rain...

...06:58 am on a glorious Sunday morning. It looked quite promising. It did not rain, however, and the day was cool and breezy, a lovely respite from the past week's heat.

Today I noticed that the figs will be ripe enough for picking sometime this coming week, on both the green and black fig trees. And the almonds are starting to split their outer soft shells as well (see extra). This feels quite early this year as normally we would only be harvesting the almonds at the end of August or first week of September. Lots to be getting on with in the coming days!
