The last leg of the Annandale Way and I walked it in the company of my friends Fiona and Jill, with Archie and Jess. 6.25 miles today and here we are at the place where the River Annan flows into the Solway Firth and out the Irish Sea. Fiona had brought some Lindisfarne Mead and some tiny glasses so that we could have a toast :-)
It was a sunny warm day, perfect for being out by the coast. We walked back into Annan and went to a cafe for milkshakes. I did some shopping in Aldi and then it was off to Lockerbie (did I really walk from there yesterday?) to meet Sarah, Chris and Merry, who have been spending the weekend in Edinburgh with Luke and Maria. We have the pleasure of their company all week :-)
