Appledore/Instow Regatta

There was a regatta today in the estuary between Instow and Appledore.  Today was the turn of the rowing crews. Tuesday and Wednesday there will be sailing boats competing.  There was a lot going on in the estuary.
I went to watch for a while, whilst waiting to meet a friend who sadly could not get away from helping the local WI who were serving lunches/teas and coffees in the Village Hall. It was very busy - probably due to the lovely sunshine!

Going back to the car, I noticed the spider that lives behind the wing mirror had caught a bee (boo hoo) and was wrapping it up in the breeze. Extra.

In the afternoon I popped over to see another friend; wonderful to have a cup of tea in her garden, watching the birds feeding.
