Incoming Bee!

At last - another sunny summers day. We're pleased that we saw a few butterflies in the garden - they've seemed rather few and far between this year - and the lavender was buzzing with bees too (the bees have also been in short supply so far).

I saw a butterfly nicely settled on the lavender but by the time I'd got my camera out it had flown away (as they do!) and all the others we saw were always airborne. However I did have the chance to have go at photographing the bees in flight...this is the best out of many attempts - they do move fast especially when it's warm & sunny!
