At last …

… a butterfly has come to visit our garden, this is the first time that I have seen any since early spring. I think it is a Small White but it could be a Green-veined white so happy to be corrected. It spent quite a while on the lavender bush underneath the buddleia and I was able to take lots of photos of it, three of which I have added tonight as it is such a rarity this year as is the sun, it has been scorching this afternoon!
We had a nice walk this morning at Loch Ardinning Nature Reserve.  A few nice orchids still blooming, quite a few damselflies, but only one butterfly seen, a ringlet.
