Taking Australian friends to see the Tyne Bridge

This is the first time for 24 years we have seen John and Robyn. We met in Papua New Guinea and became friends there. Since then they have lived all over the world for example: Thursday Island and New York.

The Tyne bridge was completed by a company called Dorman Long in 1928 and opened by King George V. Dorman Long, based in Middlesbrough, North East England, was a major steel producer, which diversified into bridge building, and is now a manufacturer of steel components. In 1932 the Sydney Harbour Bridge was completed by the same company.
