Havsmannen

This huge sculpture has actually the same name in English than the one I showed a few days ago (The Man from the Sea). This artwork is standing in the sea in Mo i Rana (Norway) since 1995, made by the British artist Antony Gormley.

The text, engraved on the glass, does not belong to the artwork. I believe the texts are another artwork. The glass panels themselves are there for safety so nobody falls down into the sea.

Nowadays, this place is very special due to another sculpture as well, a memorial statue for a 15 years old girl from this city and 76 other (mostly) young people who died due to the terror on Utöya and in Oslo 22 July 2011 - see the collage photo (extra blip).
