Hummingbirds

The hummers finally started visiting the flowers on my deck this weekend. There are 2 of them that I have seen. I decided to get a feeder ready this morning and hung it outside this afternoon. So far neither of them have visited it, but one did fly around it.
A couple of blue jays were around this morning so I decided to put some peanuts and sunflower seeds on the railing for them. By this afternoon I had the cardinal family, Mama, Papa and 3 young ones visiting. The woodpecker brought one of his babies. There were assorted chickadees and a couple of sparrows too. One of the squirrels stopped by for a snack too.
The cardinal family were a feisty bunch today. The young ones decided that they were going to enjoy their meal and they chased the woodpeckers and chickadees away until they had finished.
Brunch this morning. This afternoon 4 of the members of the local garden club had open gardens, so I stopped at each of them for a tour.
