Double eights

We drove home today. The trip was uneventful and took about 7 1/2 hours. It was good to get home. We unpacked the truck and loaded up the mowers and headed to the island to cut the grass. There were four bucks and three doe in the back field. The grass was tall and green and the deer were enjoying the meal. They never left just kept moving aside as I mowed closer. Finally they were at the woods edge and stepped in. These were the biggest sporting 8 points each in velvet There were no deer on the island when I grew up or even when I lived there as an adult but they arrived shortly after I moved off.
